About Spin Wheel Box
What Spin Wheel Box is, how the winner is picked, and what happens to your lists
What it is
Spin Wheel Box (spinwheelbox.com) is a free online spin the wheel. You type names, prizes, or choices, spin, and one slice wins. People use it for classroom picks, giveaways, stream draws, team order, and everyday decisions.
How the winner is picked
When you press spin, your browser picks the winner first with the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues). The wheel then turns to that slice. The pick is made on your device, not on our server, and nothing changes it while the wheel is moving.
Every slice has the same chance unless you set a weight on an entry yourself. A weight of 2 means that entry is twice as likely as an entry with weight 1. Hidden entries and entries you removed are not in the draw.
What happens to your list
Your list stays in your browser by default. You can use the wheel without an account. If you sign in and save a wheel, or share it to the community, that wheel is stored on our servers so you can open it elsewhere. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Community wheels
Signed-in users can share a wheel to the community gallery. Anyone can open a shared wheel and spin it. We count opens and spins so the gallery can show which wheels people use. If a shared wheel is abusive or should not be public, contact us with its link and we will take it down.
Who runs it
Spin Wheel Box is an independent project. Questions, bug reports, and requests go to the address on the Contact page.
